Ten companies including Larsen &
Toubro Ltd and Essar Investments Ltd, have submitted bids in response to the tenders invited by
Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) for the
development of the Gangavaram port project near Visakhapatnam in Andhra
Pradesh. The process for shortlisting the companies has begun, according to
APIIC, the nodal agency for the project.
The other companies that bid for the project include,
Mumbai based HAM Dredging and Marine Contractors, P&O Ports and Zoom
Developers (P) Ltd, Hypo Vereinbank, Secunderabad based Kumar group of
companies, LKPPL – LITL joint venture of the Hyderabad based Lanco group and a
consortium led by Mr D.V.S. Raju.
