Blackstone-backed Lumina CloudInfra has acquired two adjoining land parcels totalling 3.79 acres in Chandivali area in Mumbai for Rs 475 crore, according to documents accessed via CRE Matrix.
The acquisitions, among the largest in Mumbai this year, include a 2.04-acre plot from Prasoon Spaces for Rs 294 crore, and a 1.75-acre plot from Chawla Brothers for Rs 181 crore. The transactions drew a combined stamp duty of Rs 28.5 crore and registration fees of Rs 60,000. Chandivali, close to Powai and well-connected to both the Western and Eastern Express Highways, has become a hub for mixed-use and technology-driven developments.
This deal follows other major data centre-related land purchases in the area, including NTT Global’s Rs 855 crore acquisition from Jeetendra Kapoor’s family and Equinix India’s Rs 155 crore deal in 2024. Lumina’s strategic move signals growing demand for data infrastructure in India’s financial capital.
