The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has initiated the land registry process for the Indore-Pithampur economic corridor, a major project aimed at boosting industrial and urban development in the region.

The first registry was completed during Navratri, with two landowners from Bhainslay village registering 5.58 hectares of land in exchange for over two hectares of developed plots. The corridor, planned over 1,331 hectares, will include commercial, residential, industrial, and public semi-public plots across 17 villages such as Cordiabardi, Nainod, Rinjalay, Sindoda, and Tihi.

MPIDC Indore Executive Director Himanshu Prajapati emphasised the participatory model ensuring fairness and shared prosperity, stating that the project will empower local landowners and support industrial and community development. Officials view the registry launch as a key milestone in developing the corridor into a hub of industry and modern infrastructure. Earlier in March, the Cabinet amended land acquisition rules, allotting 60 percent of developed land to original landowners.
