Mahindra Intertrade, a part of the Mahindra Group, is planning to set up an automotive steel service centre in Pune, Maharashtra.
For the purpose, the company has entered into a JV with Taiwan-based China Steel Global Trading Corporation and Singapore-based Mitsui & Co. In the JV, Mahindra will hold 51 per cent share while the other two companies will hold 24.5 per cent each.
The project, estimated to cost Rs 150 crore, will be spread over 10 acre at MIDC's Chakan Industrial area, Phase-II, near Pune. It will have a processing capacity of 1.3 lakh tpa and is expected to be operational by December 2015. The raw stock for the project will be imported from China Steel Global as well as sourced locally.
