Launched in 2022, Matter Lab, South India's largest and most modern quality testing laboratory, an initiative of Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) has been certified by the National Accreditation Body for Laboratories (NABL) to expand their scope from 100 to nearly 1,000 accredited tests.

This expansion covers a wide range of materials testing, enabling the organisation to offer clients a broader array of accredited testing services, ensuring even greater accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in the results. Accredited testing services of Matter Lab span a wide range of materials, including soil, rocks, aggregates, cement, bentonite, GGBS, fly ash, bentonite, steel, water, concrete, masonry blocks such as concrete, AAC; tile adhesives, thermoplastic pipes & fittings, HDPE Pipes for water supply, bitumen such as NRMB, PMB and viscosity grades; bituminous emulsion and more.

Specialised field tests which are NABL accredited at Matter Lab, include geotechnical investigations like SPT Testing, TRL DCP Testing, Plate Bearing Test, Pile Load Test, and Bridge Load Test, Pile Integrity Test, Block Integrity Testing of Rock, Electrical Resistivity Survey (ERT), Rock Weight Classification (Grading), Aspect Ratio of Rocks, Dry Film Thickness of paints & coatings on concrete and metal substrates, Field Compaction (density) testing using sand replacement & core cutting methods, road pavement surveys such as Benkleman Beam Deflection test, Surface Roughness by Fifth Wheel Bump Integrator and Merlin Road Roughness Measurement.
