Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) by the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project Corporation (ERCPCL) for a major water infrastructure contract.
The work order, identified as ERCP-09-TF-7A, involves the construction of a feeder system from Khura Chainpura to Jaisamand, Alwar, encompassing all necessary components, at a cost of Rs 4,796.83 crore. The scope further includes operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of 20 years, under the hybrid annuity model (HAM), ensuring sustainable management and long-term functionality.
The feeder system is designed to strengthen water supply infrastructure, augment irrigation potential, and improve drinking water availability in Rajasthan’s semi-arid regions.
MEIL, known for its expertise in large-scale irrigation and infrastructure projects, has reinforced its position as a leading player in India’s water sector with this move. Once executed, the project will play a vital role in addressing water scarcity challenges in eastern Rajasthan.
