The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded environmental clearance to Gujarat State Petronet.
The EC has been accorded for laying 36/30 inch natural gas transportation pipeline from Anjar (Kutch) to Chotila (Surendranagar) covering approximate length of 196.14 km with associated facilities.
The associated facilities include eight sectionised valve station, one intermediate pigging station and two dispatch terminal/receiving terminal of capacity 23.13 MMSCMD.
The estimated proposed project cost is Rs 1,058.40 crore. The recurring cost during operation and maintenance will be about Rs 77 lakh per annum.
Total average water requirement during construction phase will be 50-60 cum per day and during operation phase only 20 cum per day for domestic purpose and for greenbelt area, the water requirement will be mostly met from tankers.
