Bandra West locality of Mumbai will soon have a modern, public sports complex, announced local MLA Ashish Shelar.

The decision was made during a meeting with civic officials from the H West ward to review local infrastructure projects. The new sports facility, inspired by the Andheri Sports Complex, will be located on two plots of land near Carter Road. The acquisition of these plots is expected to be completed within a month and a half, with the design plan following shortly after. Dinesh Pallewad, Sssistant Commissioner of the H West ward, confirmed that the facility will include a variety of amenities for the public. 

Additionally, MLA Shelar discussed plans to reconstruct stormwater drains in the Carter Road and Gazdar Bandh areas to address flooding issues exacerbated by the ongoing Mumbai Coastal Road and Bandra-Worli Sea Link projects.
