NTPC has commenced commercial operations for a 37.95 MW solar power unit in Gujarat, marking the fourth operational phase of the 300-MW Khavda Solar Energy Project under its subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy.
This entity is a step-down subsidiary through NTPC Green Energy (NGEL). Earlier, the first three segments—142.2 MW, 32.8 MW, and 49.125 MW, were declared operational on June 28, June 30, and August 22, respectively. With this development, a total of 262.07 MW out of the planned 300 MW is now commercially active.
This step reinforces NTPC's ongoing commitment to expand its renewable energy portfolio in India.
