The Upper Ganga Canal Expressway (UGCE) project in Uttar Pradesh is on hold
due to pending clearance by the MoEF.
The 150-km eight-lane UGCE flanking Upper Ganga Canal is proposed from
Sanauta Bridge (Greater Noida) to Purkazi (Muzaffarnagar) near the
UP-Uttarakhand border. The project entails an investment of Rs 7,000 crore.
Six companies viz, Isolux Corsan, Gurgaon; Era-Sibmost JV, Noida; DSC-Apollo
JV, Gurgaon; IRB Infrastructure Developers, Mumbai; Jaiprakash Associates, Noida;
and Reliance Infrastructure, Mumbai have already qualified the preliminary bid
round and are eligible for RFP stage.
