REpower Systems AG, in which Suzlon Energy is majority shareholder, has
bagged wind turbine orders from France based Akuo Energy SAS.
The REpower MM92 turbines, each with a hub height of 100 mtrs and 2.05 MW of
rated power are destined for the three wind farms Fontaine Macon, Sevigny
Waleppe and Saint-Germainmont in the Champagne-Ardennes region, in the Northeast
of France. Together, the turbines achieve a total generating capacity of 51.25
MW.
The first set of six wind turbines for the wind farm Fontaine Macon are to be
delivered and commissioned by August 2010. REpower will supply nine turbines for
the wind farm Sevigny Waleppe and ten turbines for the project Saint-Germainmont,
both located in the Ardennes Department in 2011, with construction of both
projects scheduled for the second quarter of 2011.
The projects are expected to be executed by the French subsidiary REpower
S.A.S and the company is responsible for delivery, commissioning and service of
the turbines.
