REpower Systems AG, subsidiary of Suzlon Energy has entered into an agreement
with Daunia Savignano, a unit of the Italian Tozzi Group, for the supply of wind
turbines, worth an aggregate capacity of 36.9 MW. According to the terms of the
contract, REpower will be responsible for the supply of 18 MM 92 turbines, with
a rated output of 2.05 MW, each, to the Savignano wind farm, located in southern
Italy.
With the commissioning of these new turbines, the capacity of the Savignano
project will increase to 77.9 MW. The wind farm has been scheduled to be fully
commissioned by the first quarter of 2011.
