Nidec India has commenced construction of its third manufacturing facility in the Japanese industrial zone at Neemrana, Rajasthan, reaffirming its parent company Nidec Corporation’s commitment to India.
The company began operations in Neemrana in 2016 and has since expanded from automotive motors to white goods and now, advanced automotive components. The new plant, with an investment of Rs 450 crore, is slated to be operational by September 2026. It will produce high-tech components such as electric power steering motors, park lock actuators, electric water and oil pumps, and BLDC engine cooling fan motors.
CEO of Nidec Corporation,Mitsuya Kishida, highlighted future plans including a USD 55 million investment for a five-plant mega campus under the Motion and Energy (MOEN) business in Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2027. Additionally, USD 150 million is being invested in Maharashtra under the Global Appliance (ACIM) business, with a 50-acre land MoU signed with the state government.
Currently, Neemrana hosts over 51 Japanese firms with Rs 6,500 crore in investments, employing more than 26,000 people.
