The Government of Odisha has partnered with Singapore-based Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) to establish the Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub (I-GFTCH) in Bhubaneswar, set for inauguration on 21 August, 2025.
The hub aims to integrate global education, innovation, and industry collaboration in FinTech and InsurTech, positioning Odisha as a leading player in India’s digital economy. The first programme under I-GFTCH, the NUS-AIDF Certificate in FinTech & InsurTech (CFI), will launch in September 2025. Offered by the Asian Institute of Digital Finance at the National University of Singapore, the five-month course blends online learning, in-person sessions, projects, and internships.
Over 7,000 Odisha students are expected to benefit, supported by the Skill Development Institute, Department of Higher Education, and Union Ministry of Education. Additional initiatives include the Global Innovation Centre of Excellence to support startups, the Global Capability Hub for hosting financial institutions, and hosting the Black Swan Summit India in Q1 2026.
The collaboration stems from an MoU signed during Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s January 2025 visit.
