1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

  • Chennai-based Nelcast bagged an export order worth Rs.20 crore from Delhi Metro rail Corporation for supply of ribbed plates. It also bagged an order for supply of carries to Meritor, Europe. (project details)
  • MSK Projects (India) has received orders worth Rs.23.12 crore from Bharat Oman Refineries for civil & structural works for control room, substation, fire-station, reservoir and pump houses, pipe sleepers, road Phase-II and associated electrical works etc at crude oil terminal at Vadinar for Bina Refinery Project.   • UK-based Invensys Process Systems bagged the contract from Electric Power Construction Corporation (SEPCO III) for a unknown 3,600 MW power plant in Jharsuguda district of Orissa.
  • Parsvnath Developers bagged an order worth Rs.150 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for developing an ultra modern fully air-conditioned shopping mall outside Netaji Subhash Place Metro Station in Delhi. (more news) (project details)

  • RDB Industries has bagged the following contracts from
  1. Director General Married Accommodation Projects, New Delhi, to build 72 dwelling units at Fort Williams, Kolkata, over a period of 18 months. [contract value: Rs.21 crore].
  2. Burdwan Municipalty, Burdwan to build residential and commercial complex at Burdwan.

  • Hindustan Dorr Oliver bagged an order worth Rs.85 crore from Indian Oil Corporation for re-cycling plant for its Haldia refinery. Work is to be executed within a period of 18 months. (project details)
  • Nagarjuna Construction Co bagged an order worth Rs.61 crore from National Institute of Technology for construction of a hostel building for 1,000 students at NIT in Warrangal district of Andhra Pradesh. The construction work is scheduled for completion within 18 months. (project details)

  • Alstom Projects (India) has won a contract worth Rs.945 crore (approximately 175 million euros) from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation for the construction of the first Alstom GT26-based combined cycle power plant in India. (more news) (project details)
  • Bharat Heavy Electricals bagged an order worth Rs.430 crore from Indian Oil Corporation to supply steam generators from IOC's Vadodara project. BHEL will supply two heat recovery steam generators and will design, engineering, manufacture, commission six gas turbines for IOC's oil residue upgradation and quality improvement projects at the Gujarat refinery.   • Areva T&D India bagged an order worth Rs.115 crore from Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Co (MPPTCL) for 22x160 MVA 220/132/33 kV auto transformers and 4x100 MVA 220/33/33 kV two winding transformers, including transport and supervision of erection and commissioning.
  • Larsen & Toubro bagged a turnkey order worth Rs.877 crore from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation for the NQ Re-construction (NQRC) Project in Mumbai High North fields. (more news) (project details)
  • Diamond Cables bagged orders aggregating to Rs.75 crore from various distribution companies of GUNVL and various private customers for supply of  25,000 km of aluminum alloy distribution conductors. The orders are to be executed before March 2008. 
  • RTS Power Corporation bagged orders worth Rs.15.9 crore for supply of cables, conductors & transformers to power utilities.
  • Larsen & Toubro has secured Rs.114.43 crore order from Steel Authority of India for the turnkey construction of 220/132 kV gas insulated sub-station and associated transmission network for SAIL's Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh. (more news) (project details)

  • Petron Engineering Construction received a letter of intent from Madras Cements for mechanical fabrication and erection works for their 3,800 tpd cement project at Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu. The contract is valued at Rs.23.57 crore. (project details)

B. Overseas Contracts

29 June 07

  • Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation has extended its contract with PPM Energy of Portland, Oregon, the USA to add 300 MW of wind turbine capacity. The original agreement calls for delivery of 300 MW of turbine capacity by 2008 and 100 MW of capacity by 2009, but now has been extended to include an additional 300 MW by 2009 for a total of 700 MW over two years.

  • Larsen & Toubro is awarded letter of intent from ENOC Processing Co LLC (EPCL), Dubai, U.A.E., for the mechanical erection work of the new process plants of their naphtha hydro-treated reformer project. The estimated value of the contract is $51 million. The project consists of fabrication and erection of piping, equipment and structural erection and other associated works for the new units constituting inter-connecting piping, LPG naphtha HTV/splitter unit, CCR reformer unit, diesel drying unit, LPG fractionation unit and HC flare.

  • GEI Industrial Systems has bagged an export order worth Rs.35 crore from Solar Turbine Inc, USA for supply of process gas coolers and lube oil coolers for compressor package for Oman Gas Co, Oman. This package includes high pressure compressor coolers and engine lube oil coolers.
