Organic Recycling Systems (ORSL) has officially partnered with Indraprastha Gas (IGL) to jointly develop compressed biogas (CBG) projects across India.
The partnership was formalised with the exchange of a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 in Goa on January 28, 2026. The ceremony was attended by key figures, including Praveen Mal Khanooja, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Kamal Kishore Chatiwal, Managing Director of IGL. The MoU sets the stage for ORSL to collaborate with IGL on CBG projects across the country, as it has officially been empaneled as an execution partner with IGL.
This strategic partnership offers ORSL a solid institutional framework to design, structure, and execute these projects. This collaboration is expected to significantly boost ORSL’s project pipeline and accelerate development across multiple regions, as per a company spokesperson. ORSL is now working with project sponsors to prioritise opportunities based on factors like feedstock security, infrastructure readiness, and project viability, aiming to fast-track development and implementation.
