Oriental Foundry (OFPL) has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from the Ministry of Railways, for the manufacture and supply of constant side bearers (CCSB) for broad gauge (BG) bogie wagons.

The order secured is valued at approx. Rs. 60 crore, and has been awarded against a competitive tender issued by Indian Railways. Constant side bearers are a critical component in railway wagon bogies, designed to enhance stability, reduce vibrations, and ensure safer and more efficient freight movement. The contract underscores OFPL’s proven manufacturing capabilities, and its position as a trusted supplier of high-quality components.

By securing the LoA, the company has further strengthened its presence in the railway equipment sector, contributing to the modernisation and safety enhancement of India’s freight network. The order highlights the government’s continued push to upgrade rolling stock infrastructure while encouraging domestic manufacturing under “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
