Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate over 26 projects with an aggregate value of Rs 1,009 crore in Uttar Pradesh on 16 February 2020.
The projects include 430-bed centenary super specialty block at Sir Sunderlal Hospital of Institute of Medical Sciences-Banaras Hindu University (IMS-BHU). The block has eight major super specialty disciplines besides 13 modular operation theatres.
Besides, BHU’s Vedic Vigyan centre, trauma centre and 100-bed maternity wing of SPG divisional hospital will also be inaugurated. The PM will also inaugurate expanded Chowkaghat-Lehartara flyover during his visit to Varanasi. The project will bring major relief on busy Andhrapul and Englishialine crossing.
PM will also unveil 63 ft tall statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya worth Rs 6.50 crore at Padav, the area being developed as Antim Padav.
The Anna-kshetra of Kashi Vishwanath temple, 200-bed barrack at police lines, ITI at Rajatalab and 16 newly-constructed roads are also among the projects to be inaugurated.
Apart from this, foundation stones will be laid for several projects worth Rs 208 crore at a programme to be held at DDU Trade Facilitation Centre in Lalpur area. These will include civic facility augmentation in wards of Old City area under Smart City project, multi-level parking at Town Hall, beautification of public parks and ponds and projects of the electricity department.
