REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC under the Ministry of Power, has officially handed over the Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission SPV to G R Infraprojects on 29 September 2025.
The handover marks the transfer of a critical ISTS transmission project under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route. G R Infraprojects was selected as the transmission service provider (TSP) to execute the project on a build, own, operate & transfer (BOOT) basis. The SPV was handed over by RECPDCL CEO TSC Bosh to Saurabh Kaushik, Business Head – Power T&D, G R Infraprojects, in the presence of officials from RECPDCL, G R Infraprojects, and the Central Transmission Utility of India.
The transmission scheme includes setting up a 2x500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Handiya, 400 kV double circuit lines covering approx. 650 km, and augmentation works at Pachora and Neemuch pooling substations. The project is to be completed in 24 months.
