Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a signalling and telecom (S&T) maintenance contract from Western Railway.
The S&T maintenance activities will be carried out across various locations in the Ahmedabad Division, under the scope of work. Under the agreement, RVNL will provide round-the-clock manpower for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of signaling and telecom gears. The contract worth Rs 40.41 crore, spans 24 months and is fully domestic in nature. It is aimed at ensuring smooth railway operations, improved signaling reliability, and enhanced telecom infrastructure support.
With continuous manpower deployment, the project will help Western Railway maintain operational efficiency and passenger safety. It also strengthens RVNL’s role as a key partner in Indian Railways’ modernisation and maintenance efforts.
