Chennai-based Kothari Industrial Corporation (KICL) has entered into an agreement with France’s Royer Group to introduce the heritage brand Kickers to India. As part of the licensing agreement between the two companies, a network of retail stores across the country will be set up, with the first store set to open in Chennai.
These stores will offer a range of Kickers products, including footwear, apparel and accessories, as the brand has a global appeal. It showcases the latest trends in the designer products in footwear and clothing. The brand's entry into India could be trailblazing for both KICL and the retail fashion industry. KICL is among the oldest industrial houses in Tamil Nadu and is headquartered in Chennai.
In addition to India, the licensing agreement grants KICL marketing rights for Kickers in India's neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, and others.
