A high-level delegation from SUEZ France and SUEZ India visited Coimbatore on 01 September, 2025, to review progress on the city’s 24×7 water supply project.
The team included International CFO Silvina Somasco Mozziconacci, Senior VP Investments Olivier Garnier, SUEZ India CEO Rasmi Ranjan Ray, Executive Director Sashidhar Gollapinni, and Project Director Sangram Pattanayak. The visit began with a presentation on the project’s status, followed by site inspections at AKS Nagar and Cheran Nagar Overhead Tanks, Tatabad Customer Facility Centre, the newly built Master Reservoir, and the SCADA control centre for water network monitoring.
As of 01 September, 2025, the project has achieved a milestone with 90,117 households receiving continuous 24×7 water supply, while 23,420 households are connected to intermittent supply, totaling 1,13,537 commissioned household service connections. The delegation praised the project team’s quality of execution, focus on safety, and commitment to international standards. CEO Rasmi Ranjan Ray emphasised that Coimbatore is setting an example in building a reliable urban water system.
