The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has issued a tender for the development of a new 2,000 MLD clear water pumping station at the Bhandup complex under a design-build-operate basis.

The scope of work  encompasses civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works. It includes the provision and installation of all necessary ancillary pipelines, fittings, accessories, and jointing hardware. The proposed rising mains will be encased in RCC, with RCC thrust blocks provided wherever required as per design specifications. Additionally, RCC valve chambers will be constructed at all valve locations outside the pumping stations.

The work also covers interconnection of the proposed mains with existing infrastructure and installation of rising mains using pipe jacking wherever necessary. This project aims to enhance Mumbai’s water distribution capacity, ensuring reliable supply and improved operational efficiency.
