Shivam Iron & Steel Company has dropped its direct reduced iron (sponge iron) project in Jharkhand, due to non-receipt of approvals from the government, as told to ProjectsToday.
The company was planning to set up a direct reduced iron (sponge iron) with a capacity of 400 tpd (100 tpd x 4) in Giridih district of the state. The project was to include a 12 MW coal based power unit and eight MW waste based power unit. The company was to invest Rs 90 crore in the project.
