SoHHytec has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana for a pilot project focused on green hydrogen production.
The MoU was formalized at the Telangana Rising event on December 8, 2025, in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy and Sanjay Kumar, the Special Chief Secretary for Industries and IT. The project aims to set up distributed Green Hydrogen production units in Telangana and an Artificial Photosynthesis-based Green Hydrogen equipment (ARB) manufacturing facility. The project will be executed in two phases, with a total investment of Rs 1,000 crore and the development spanning over 30 acres of land. The initiative is expected to generate more than 1,000 direct employment within three years.
SoHHytec, based in Switzerland, is a leader in Green Hydrogen production, specialising in photo-electrochemical (PEC) Hydrogen systems. The company's flagship product, the "Arb," utilizes solar photons to split water molecules, producing Green Hydrogen and Oxygen while generating electricity and heat.
