Sri Lanka has opened the Urban Wetland Park at Nawala Road, Nugegoda in the outskirts of Sri Lankan capital city, Colombo.
The park has been established over a five acre land of the Urban Development Authority. It comprises places for resting, walkways and exercising space, children's parks, ponds and lush greenery. The Authority has spent Rs. 81.6 million for the construction of the Park. Personnel of the Army, Navy and Civil Defence have participated in the design and construction of the park.
