Suzlon has secured a 204.75 MW wind energy order from Jindal Green Wind 1, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, marking its largest commercial and industrial (C&I) partnership. This brings the total capacity to power Jindal Steel’s plants to 907.20 MW.
The latest order includes 65 advanced S144 wind turbine generators with hybrid lattice towers, each with a 3.15 MW capacity. The generated power will support steel plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, boosting sustainability efforts. Suzlon’s total order book now stands at a record 5.9 GW.
Vice Chairman, Girish Tanti stated, "Building on our initial successes in Karnataka, we're now expanding the Low CO2 Steel movement to Tamil Nadu, a trailblazer in wind energy. Together, we're redefining the future of sustainable industrial growth in India."
