Suzlon Energy bagged an order from Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (GACL) to
set up, operate and maintain a 21 MW wind energy project at Maliya Miyana in
Gujarat.
The project is to comprise of 14 units of Suzlon's S82-1.5 MW wind turbines,
and to be completed by end-March 2010.
The power generated from this project will be wheeled for GACL's captive
consumption. The project is likely to increase GACL's total wind power capacity
from the present 62.75 MW to 83.75 MW, already operational in two wind farms in
the Kachchh district of Gujarat.
