Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran announced a major investment in an electronics manufacturing unit in Assam, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the state.
This follows the Rs 27,000-crore semiconductor project in Jagiroad. Additionally, Tata Group will collaborate with the state government on green energy initiatives, including solar and renewable power generation.
Speaking at the Advantage Assam business summit, Chandrasekaran emphasised the group's long-standing association with Assam. He described the semiconductor facility as "the most significant investment in the state so far" and confirmed plans for another large electronics manufacturing unit.
The company’s green energy investments will focus on solar and renewable energy projects in partnership with the state government.
