Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) has successfully commissioned NHPC’s 450 MWp solar project in Karnisar Bhatiyan, Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The project, executed over 2.5 years, demonstrates TPREL’s strong project management and technical capabilities. The solar plant is supplying power to PSPCL and will generate approx. 17,230 million units of green electricity over its lifespan. With 7,75,000 high-efficiency DCR-compliant modules installed, the project faced challenges like extreme temperatures and tough terrain but was completed with advanced technologies such as bifacial DCR modules and high-performance inverters.
Beyond technical excellence, the project created work opportunities for over 300 local workers, boosting the regional economy. This project, along with others like SJVN’s one GW project and NLC’s 300 MW project, highlights TPREL’s role in India’s renewable energy goals.
