South Western Railway has floated a tender for the construction of a new broad gauge railway line stretching 19.057 km between Maluguru and Palasamudram, located near Andhra Pradesh.
The scope of work includes laying new tracks from chainage (-)1906.6 (CH: 108125 of YNKPKD) to chainage 17/150, covering two new railway yards at Chalivendala and Palasamudram, along with modifications to the existing Maluguru yard. In addition to civil works, the scope also encompasses installation of signal and telecommunication systems.The estimated cost is Rs 296.21 crore.
This infrastructure development forms part of a larger plan to boost rail connectivity and efficiency in the region. . Interested bidders must submit their applications before the closing date of 20 November,2025.
