The Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board (GPYVB) has issued a tender for the development of the extended temple precinct area of Shree Ambaji Mata Temple, up to Gabbar Hill, in Banaskantha district, Gujarat.
The project is planned in two phases. Key developments include expanded temple precincts (for both Gabbar and Ambaji temples), a vehicular underpass, multi-level parking, Yatri Niwas (a hotel), and a pedestrianised corridor with public spaces, plazas, and amenity buildings. This plan aims to preserve the spiritual heritage while setting a global standard for pilgrimage sites.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 804.99 crore, and is scheduled to be completed within 30 months.
