Tesla Inc. has taken a major step towards entering India by securing its first showroom in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
The EV giant has leased 4,003 sq. ft. on the ground floor of Maker Maxity’s 2 North Avenue from Univco Properties for five years, paying a security deposit of Rs 2.11 crore. There is a 36-month lock-in period.
Tesla has been actively exploring India, engaging with government authorities and scouting for showroom locations and manufacturing sites.
