Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to complete the construction of the new Osmania General Hospital (OGH) within two years.
The hospital, located in Goshamahal, Hyderabad, will span 26 acres with a built-up area of 32 lakh sq. ft. and an estimated cost of Rs 2,000 crore. The new facility will include advanced features like robotic surgery, an academic block, and separate hostels for students. The CM emphasised the importance of planning for the hospital's connectivity, ensuring minimal disruption to locals, and addressing related infrastructure issues.
A coordination committee comprising various departments will oversee the progress, meeting every 10 days to resolve any challenges.
