Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually inaugurated a Rs 55-crore road project under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) in Udham Singh Nagar district on 25 September, 2025.
The 20-kilometre-long Manunagar-Gadarpur-Dineshpur-Matkota-Haldwani motor road will be widened and strengthened as part of the development plan. CM Dhami emphasized that the project will ease local commutes and eliminate traffic congestion by converting the road into a double-lane route. He stated that nearly two lakh residents and farmers from the Terai region will directly benefit from the enhanced connectivity. The project is expected to significantly cut down the cost and time of transporting raw materials, facilitating industrial growth in the area.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the initiative is aligned with Prime Minister Modi's vision of accelerated infrastructure development and prosperity. He reiterated the state’s commitment to prioritizing road connectivity and infrastructure upgrades to support economic development and improve the quality of life for citizens.
