Vikram Solar, module manufacturer and a comprehensive EPC solutions and rooftop solar provider, has commissioned a solar project on top of the tallest skyscraper in Kolkata ‘The 42’ residential building.
The rooftop solar plant is 22.5 kW capacity and consists of 60 solar panels, covering an area of approximately 116 sq mtr.
The solar plant has been installed on the 64th floor or the rooftop of the building. The 22.5 kW solar plant has (60) 375 Wp 72 cell Monocrystalline solar panels to generate 33,674 units of green energy per year. The solar plant is expected to save 36.14 tonne of CO2 per year.
The company has handled utility-scale projects such as 200 MW for APGENCO in Andhra Pradesh, 130 MW for NTPC at Bhadla, Rajasthan; 80 MW for GIPCL at Charanka, Gujarat; 40 MW for IL&FS at Kachaliya, Madhya Pradesh, innovative projects (India’s first floating solar).
The company has also undertaken solar projects at Calicut, Kolkata, Kochi, Dibrugarh, Gaya, and Gondia airports.
