Voltsun Labs, a part of Ravi Jaipuria's RJ Corp, will invest Rs 1,743 crore to establish a greenfield solar cell and module manufacturing facility at Naidupeta Multi-Product SEZ in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh.
The project, which has been approved by the state government, will span 37 acres and will be developed in two phases, each with one GW of solar cell and module capacity, utilising advanced TOPCon monocrystalline and bifacial technologies. It is expected to generate direct employment for 415 persons. To support the plant's commissioning, the state government will provide infrastructure, including a 40 MW power load and a three MLD water supply.
Voltsun's investment contributes to Andhra Pradesh's growing clean-tech sector, which includes solar, pumped-storage, and green hydrogen projects. The state government has fast-tracked approvals to ensure timely implementation.
RJ Corp, the largest PepsiCo bottling partner globally, manages quick service restaurant (QSR) brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, and Costa Coffee through its network of franchisees.
