The infrastructure engineering division of Wipro has joined hands with EADS'
subsidiary to manufacture engineered components for the aerospace and defence
sector.
EADS' Spanish subsidiary, Compania Espanola De Sistemas Aeronauticos (CESA),
will transfer a part of its technology - as well as manufacturing workload - for
aerospace actuators and precision parts to Wipro Infrastructure Engineering
(WIN).
Wipro is likely to invest $15 million (approx Rs 67.5 crore) in the initial
phase setting up a unit for the manufacture of these components in the new SEZ
for aerospace being set up at Devanahalli near Bengaluru.
