Wonderla Holidays will be investing Rs 550 crore for two of its projects coming up in Chennai and Hyderabad.

Wonderla has identified land for its fourth amusement park in Chennai. It will acquire 60 acre of land, 40 km off Chennai for the project. The park will be set up with an investment of Rs 300 crore and is likely to be completed in FY18.

The Hyderabad amusement park is expected to be completed by the first quarter of FY17. It is coming up on a 50 acre land near the airport and the total project cost is Rs 250 crore, including the land cost of Rs 40 crore. The company has secured all the necessary government approvals for the Hyderabad project.

The company will fund the projects through debt and internal accruals. The debt-free company will secure loans to the tune of Rs 150 crore.

Wonderla Holidays presently has two amusement parks at Bengaluru and Kochi.
