Amazon is investing approximately Rs 20,761 crore (USD 2.77 billion) to set up three data centers near Hyderabad in Telangana state.
Amazon Data Services, a group company, is setting up one of the three data centres at Meerkhanpet Village, Hyderabad Pharma City in Ranga Reddy district. The project will spread over 48 acre of land. The project is being implemented in three phases, Phase-1 which consists of Building-1 and Phase-2 and 3 which consists of Building-2.
The second data centre will come up at Electronic city in Raviryal and will spread over 50 acre of land and the third one will come up at 33 acre of land in Chandanavelle. The three data centres will commence operations from June or July 2022.
