US-based Wyndham Hotels & Resorts plans to introduce its European brand Vienna House in India by next year. Moreover, by 2025, the hospitality company plans to take the count of its total hotels from 60 to 100.
The company views both brands Vienna House and Wyndham Grand as holding high prospects for growth in India. The unique style, coupled with its recent addition, Wyndham Grand, which will open in 2025, is expected to resonate well with Indian consumers and attract inbound tourists from Europe. The company’s key strategy focuses on broader distribution across tier two and tier three cities, aligned to infrastructure development. Further, it is looking to incorporate and achieve sustainable growth, regional expansion, cultural tourism,, and diaspora connections over the next five years.
With a robust pipeline and the infrastructure development, especially in airports, roads, and ports, growth in the hospitality sector is anticipated across various cities in the next five years.
Last year, Wyndham acquired the Vienna House brand from Berlin-based HR Group. Wyndham has 60-plus hotels with over 5,333 rooms operational in India, with eight brands. It boasts of 35 hotels with over 3,116 rooms under development, operational in 36 cities in India.
