The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has initiated the process of hiring a consultant to design and manage infrastructure development for a Rs 450 crore electronics tech hub in Sector 10, near the Noida International Airport.
Spread across 206 acres, the project is expected to be completed by January, 2028 and aims to generate employment for over 31,000 individuals -- 11,000 direct and 20,000 indirect work opportunities. The tech cluster benefits from its strategic proximity to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, the upcoming airport, and dedicated freight corridors, making it attractive for both domestic and global electronics manufacturers.
A key highlight is the allotment of 50 acres to Havells, the anchor unit, which will invest Rs 800 crore to establish a manufacturing facility for fans, ACs, switchgear, cables, and lighting products. The unit, set to be operational by 2026, will create over 1,000 work opportunities in its first phase.
The Centre has approved Rs 144 crore for the project under the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) 2.0 scheme, while YEIDA will contribute Rs 340 crore. The remaining 156 acres include 66 industrial plots of varied sizes, and 39 acres are reserved for infrastructure like roads and green belts.
