The project entails the construction of Common Central Secretariat Buildings 6 & 7 at Plot No. 22B & 22C, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi.The Water & Sewerage Pipeline & Distribution sector recorded significant activity in Q1/FY26, with 156 contracts finalised, amounting to a total value of Rs 10,383.36 crore.Megha Engineering & Infrastructures secured two major contracts worth a combined Rs 2,290 crore from the Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Department, Andhra Pradesh. The contracts pertain to the drinking water supply projects in the coastal areas of East Godavari and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh.Another notable award in this sector was bagged by Larsen & Toubro (L&T), valued at Rs 1,092.22 crore, from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Rajasthan. The project involves providing functional household tap connections (FHTCs) under the Jal Jeevan Mission, covering 285 villages and two towns-Surajgarh and Udaipurwati. The scope includes design and construction on an a single point responsibility (SPR) basis, with a one-year defect liability period and 10 years of operation & maintenance (O&M). The project falls under Rajasthan Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project Phase-II (Package-1).The Telecom Services sector witnessed a good progress in Q1/FY26, with the finalisation of 18 new project contracts amounting to Rs 8,204.66 crore.Key contracts awarded during the quarter include:1. Polycab India secured a major contract worth Rs 4,099.69 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) for the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation, and maintenance of the middle-mile network of BharatNet in Karnataka, Goa, and Puducherry. 2. ITI, in consortium with Tera Software, was awarded a Rs 1,901.10 crore contract from BSNL for a similar scope of work covering Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur (Package-15). The project, under the design, build, operate, and maintain (DBOM) model, aims to deliver services to 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats across India under the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) initiative.3. G R Infraprojects received a Rs 1,257.28 crore contract from BSNL for implementing the BharatNet middle-mile network in Kerala (Package-16), encompassing design to long-term operations and maintenance.The Berths & Jetties sector saw the finalisation of five new project contracts in Q1/FY26, with a cumulative value of Rs 1,969.79 crore. A key highlight was a contract awarded to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, valued at Rs 489.98 crore, by the Geological Survey of India for the construction and delivery of two coastal research vessels.In the Hospitals sector, 60 project contracts were awarded during the quarter. Among them, Shubham EPC secured a significant contract worth Rs 550.04 crore from the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority for the construction of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Super Specialty Hospital & Post Graduate Institute for Medical Sciences at Kh. No. 101, 102, and 103, Mz. - Indora, Nagpur, Maharashtra.In Q1/FY26, the Electricity sector accounted for a significant 9.27 percent of the total project-related contracts awarded, with 80 contracts valued at Rs 16,808.38 crore. This surge reflects the governments ongoing commitment to bolstering power generation and distribution infrastructure across the country.
