The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to construct a new flyover in Goregaon (west) at the junction of Veer Savarkar Bridge and SV Road. The cement concrete flyover will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 26.37 crore.
The proposal to build a flyover in Goregaon (west) will be placed before the civic standing committee meeting for approval on Friday.
Out of the five bidders that showed interest in the project, RK Madhani and Company emerged as the winner with the lowest bid. Technogem Consultants has been appointed by the civic bridges department as a technical consultant to prepare plans, design, and work on the estimates and drafts for the project.
The work is to be completed within 15 months including the monsoon season. The length of the flyover will be 458 mtr and the width 11.5 mtr. There will be six spans for the flyover, each having a length of 45 mtr.
