The Narayana
Hrudayalaya will be developing a 'Health City' in Bapunagar, Ahmedabad.
The health city
project will be developed in a phased manner on a 37 acre campus at the site of
Monogram Mills in Bapunagar. The land acquisition for the project is complete
and Narayana Hrudayalaya has submitted building plan to Ahmedabad Municipal
Corporation (AMC). The construction work will commence after getting the
necessary approval from AMC.
The Health City will
have a 1,000-bed heart hospital in the phase I which is to be commissioned by
June 2010. A nursing college and para-medical training centers are also proposed
to raise skilled manpower for the mega hospital. There are plans to set up
state-of-art cancer, kidney, neuro-surgery and women and child welfare hospitals
in the next phases. All these upcoming hospitals will have 1,000 beds each.
