A conglomerate comprising Kolkata based SREI Infrastructure Finance, London
based investment bank Euromax Capital and Bank of Industries of Nigeria has
bagged a $800 million (approx Rs 4,000 crore ) PPP project to provide
sustainable water services on 100 ha in Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor in Nigeria.
The three consortium partners are expected to contribute 70 per cent to the
equity capital of the project, while the Government of River State will provide
remaining 30 per cent equity. The consortium members are holding talks with
Skye, First City Monument Bank (Nigeria), United Bank for Africa Group, ETB and
Intercontinental for raising funds for the project.
