Siemens AG and BHEL plan to form a JV for manufacturing super critical and
ultra-super critical steam turbines in India. The two companies have initiated
talks to float a SPV.
According to sources, the new venture will focus on manufacturing a new range
of steam turbines for domestic as well as export markets. The proposed
greenfield turbines unit is expected to manufacture the entire range of super
critical equipment ranging from 660 MW, 800 MW and 1000 MW turbines.
