Inox Wind (IWL) has bagged a 51 MW wind turbine order from First Energy (FEPL),a Thermax Group entity, and a provider of renewable energy solutions for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector in India.
The contract entails the supply of company's 3 MW class turbines having 140-mtrs. hub height and rotor diameter of 145 mtrs. The turbines will be installed at FEPL’s project site in Tamil Nadu through its special purpose vehicle (SPV), First Energy 10.
The scope of the order includes the supply of wind turbine generators (WTGs) along with limited engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services such as project supervision. Inox Wind will also provide multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services after commissioning, to be executed through its subsidiaries.
The order win adds to Inox Wind’s growing portfolio and also strengthens the company’s footprint in Tamil Nadu’s wind energy sector.
