The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids for a major expansion project at Barapani (Shillong) Airport in Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya.
The scope of work includes runway extension, expansion of the terminal building (TB), apron development, construction of an essential services building (ESS), and other allied infrastructure. This development marks Phase-II of the airport expansion and also includes the construction of the Airport Internal Communication and Monitoring Centre (AICMC).
The contract, valued at Rs 179.47 crore will be executed on EPC mode, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Located strategically near Shillong, the upgraded Barapani Airport is expected to significantly boost tourism and trade. The project aims to upgrade the airport's infrastructure to support growing air traffic and enhance passenger facilities.
The last date for bid submission is 03 November, 2025.
