Aerolloy Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries, has successfully installed and commissioned a state-of-the-art vacuum induction melting (VIM) furnace and advanced facilities for superalloy manufacturing.
With this milestone, Aerolloy gains the capability to produce the largest superalloy investment castings globally, a highly specialised skill held by only a handful of companies worldwide. The facility will also manufacture superalloy ingots and cast sticks for downstream aerospace and defence applications. This development significantly expands Aerolloy’s manufacturing base while boosting India’s indigenous capabilities in high-precision materials.
Superalloys, vital in aero-engines, industrial gas turbines, space propulsion, and defence systems, are indispensable in extreme environments. Highlighting the achievement, Mr. Sachin Agarwal, CMD, PTC Industries, stated: “The commissioning of this facility is a strategic milestone for Aerolloy and PTC Industries. It brings two world-class manufacturing capabilities into our fold—manufacturing the largest precision superalloy investment castings in the world, and producing a broad range of Nickel and Cobalt-based superalloy materials, including alloys for single-crystal applications.”
